Pasadena ISD implemented GradeSpeed™.NET in the fall of 2006... For our initial rollout for 2006-2007, approximately half of our schools adopted GradeSpeed™.NET; we have 100% participation for 2007-2008.

Campusware’s programmers have developed an ODBC interface between GradeSpeed™.NET and Chancery SMS. This interface allows us to customize the data that is transferred between the two systems. We anticipate the release of GradeSpeed™’s SIF agent in the summer of 2007. We have also taken advantage of GradeSpeed™’s custom report card module, which can generate report cards in a fraction of the time required by Chancery.

PISD has also served as the primary pilot district for Campusware’s new Discipline module. We have had the opportunity to work closely with Campusware’s programming staff on this project, and we are very pleased with their responsiveness on this project and on other support and development items as well."

"Goose Creek CISD has 25 campuses, an enrollment of approximately 22,000 and is located about 20 miles east of Houston. We are currently using GradeSpeed.NET™ with our Chancery software and having great success. Below are just a few of the many benefits we reap by using GradeSpeed.NET™ as our gradebook solution.

IT Personnel
• Campusware support staff is very knowledgeable and quick to respond

• GradeSpeed.NET™ is web-based. Teachers can access their gradebooks from work, home or any other place where internet connectivity is available.
• Teachers do not have to import or export grades. Once teachers are finished with their grades they simply mark them as verified. This lets the office staff know their grades are ready to export and import into Chancery.

Office Staff and Administrators
• As with the teacher screen, the administrative screens are very easy to use
• Web-based – can be accessed from any place internet connectivity is available
• Grades for an entire campus are exported from GradeSpeed.NET™ and updated to Chancery in less than 5 minutes with the click of a mouse
• An administrator can quickly access real-time assignment grades for all students

Parents and Students
• Online, real-time access to student grades, attendance, discipline, etc
• Web-based – can be accessed from any place internet connectivity is available
• Parents apply and are approved for access via the internet
• Triggers can be set to notify the parent specific events related to grades and attendance

We also used the online Course Request module for the 2007-08 school year. Parents and students were able to choose course requests using GradeSpeed.NET™ via the web. Office personnel were then able to export those course requests and import them into Chancery within a matter of minutes.

GradeSpeed.NET™ has enabled all Goose Creek staff to streamline everyday tasks therefore allowing more time to educate children. I would strongly recommend this software to any district for their gradebook solution."

"By March, 2005 we suggested all teachers at all levels start using the networked version of GradeSpeed.

For the 2005-2006 school year all teachers used the network version of GradeSpeed with minimal problems. 

• GradeSpeed helped us create custom report cards for secondary and elementary that we preferred over (other) options.

• During the spring semester we acquired Parent Connection and made it available across the district. Our feedback from parents was always positive.

• In the Spring of 2006 we used GradeSpeed’s Online Course Requests module to allow students to select their courses for the 06-07 school year. This process saved our secondary counselors countless days of data input. They loved it!

For the 2006-2007 school year Big Spring ISD converted to the web-version of GradeSpeed. This change was not without its problems, but the support from Campusware staff is phenomenal. 

• In addition to using GradeSpeed for its gradebook, teachers also take attendance in GradeSpeed...

• We continue to use Parent Connection and have had to acquire more licenses to accommodate the requests for parental accounts.

• In the spring we began to use the Voice Server for some campuses----it is an automated calling system that we have set up to call parents/guardians regarding the unexcused absences of their students. This has been a successful endeavor.

• We will definitely be using the Online Course Requests again in the next few weeks in preparation for the 07-08 school year

• We have created a new Kindergarten Report Card that was used for the first time in April, 2006.

We continue to look for ways to improve our student data management, and for the 07-08 school year we will consider adding GradeSpeed’s Discipline module to our list of GradeSpeed products...
